How does ZDM Pro work?
Suppose you currently have a download area on your web site and you would like to know the number of downloads for a given file and who has downloaded the file. ZDM Pro requires that a visitor submits their e-mail address in order to download a file. When a valid e-mail address is submitted, an e-mail message is then sent to that address containing unique URLs for that e-mail address to download the files. Now, when a visitor uses these unique URLs to download files ZDM Pro can count the number of downloads from that e-mail address.

Accurate Tracking of Downloads
Because a visitor can only download a file by submitting a valid e-mail address, you can be sure that each download count is an accurate one.

Leaching Protection
Leaching is when another web site links directly to your download files enabling their visitors to download your files directly from their site without visiting yours. This practice deprives your web site of visitors and of credit for the downloads you are offer. ZDM Pro protects you from leaching by enabling you to specify the length of time that a unique download URL is active. That is, you can set a time to expire for each download file you offer.

Multiple Language Support *New*
ZDM Pro now includes a complete language management system enabling you to add your own language package. Adding your own language is as easy as copying your language package into the lang directory and enabling it in the admin interface.

Currently, ZDM Pro comes bundled with both English and French language packages.

Download Queue *New*
ZDM Pro now includes a download queue enabling your visitors to accumulate files they wish to download into a queue, similar to a shopping cart of e-commerce web sites. Once your visitor has added all of the files they wish to download to their queue, they simply click "Download Now!", submit their e-mail address, and an e-mail is sent containing unique URLs for all of the files they had in their queue. The download queue is an optional feature which can easily be disabled in the ZDM Pro configuration.

Admin Interface *New*
ZDM Pro now includes a web interface enabling you to manage the downloads, admin users, and languages. Check out the features described below for more information.

Auto-Installer *New*
ZDM Pro now includes an auto-installer enabling you to easily install or upgrade ZDM Pro in a single click. For users of of ZDM 1.2 (free version) upgrading to ZDM Pro is easy. Simply select the "Upgrade from version 1.x" install type, fill out the rest of the form, and click "Install Now".
